Male Vessel
April, 2024.
Ceramic, chain, fabric, found paper and plastic.
This installation depicts a torso-like ceramic vessel, pierced and encapsulated by spikes and chains. Across from the piece is it’s reflection (or shadow)—rendered two-dimensionally on collaged paper.
The piece mixes feminine and masculine iconography, and represents how I was feeling at a time when I was just struggling with and re-examining the way I identified.
